FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Clint Randall Brings Public and Private Sector Expertise in Research and Data Analysis to CCD, Specializing in Real Estate Markets and Urban Economic Development

PHILADELPHIA (February 12, 2024) – Center City District (CCD) today announced the appointment of Clint Randall as its Vice President of Economic Development.

In his new role, which starts today, Randall will manage and mentor the CCD team responsible for research and reports, business attraction and retention strategies, and internal analytics, as well as assist with content creation and delivery for the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation and the Central Philadelphia Transportation Management Association.

“Clint is a thoughtful and strategic leader, an excellent communicator, and a seasoned expert in urban economic development and real estate markets,” CCD President and CEO Prema Katari Gupta said. “We’re excited to have him at CCD, where he will play a central role in fostering a data-driven, customer-centric, and results-focused organizational culture.”

Randall, who was born and raised in Center City, most recently served as Director of Research for JLL. In that role, he was responsible for tracking and analyzing market drivers and fundamentals and using those analyses to tell the local market’s story to investors, brokers, and developers. He and his JLL research team focused primarily on the office and life sciences markets, supporting leasing and capital markets brokers and their clients, including many Center City landlords.

Prior to his nine years at JLL, Randall worked at AECOM as an urban planning consultant and spent four years at the Philadelphia City Planning Commission, where he was involved in the city’s zoning overhaul and first comprehensive plan update in half a century. During his time in government, he also held a role focused on improving public health outcomes through interventions in the built environment.

“I’ve been fortunate to spend much of my career focused on the city that raised me, gaining experience in the public and private sectors. To date, much of this work has been in organizations and capacities that were advisory in nature, where my direct impact was hard to measure. I'm excited for the opportunity to work in an organization that not only diagnoses and assesses problems, but also is empowered to be a part of the solution,” Randall said. “I look forward to harnessing CCD's in-house research and analysis to bring stakeholders together to implement new ideas in real time that can increase the vitality, safety, and vibrancy of Center City. CCD’s leadership in transforming downtown is something I’ve observed and experienced firsthand since childhood, so getting to be a part of this team is very meaningful.”

Randall holds a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston University.
