The Fabric Workshop and Museum
The Fabric Workshop and Museum (FWM) is an internationally acclaimed contemporary art museum devoted both to the creation and presentation of innovative works of art. Below are some of their offerings.

  • Saturday Studio and Hands-On Screenprinting Tour | Saturdays | Explore the facilities and learn about the printing process, browse artist designs from archives, and make your own print to take home.
  • Hapa Zome Bandanas | March 15 | 12 – 3 p.m. | Spring is in the air! Join us to learn the art of hapa zome, a Japanese printing technique. Pound on some flowers to impress the plant’s natural dyes into your own cotton bandana. Must register in advance.   
  • Soft/Cover Exhibition | Through August 17 | Soft/Cover surveys the many surprising ways artists have used fabric and screenprinting to create objects that relate to the body. Focusing on the relationship of textiles to fashion and architecture, the exhibition includes new and rarely-shown works from The Fabric Workshop and Museum’s collection—each created by Artists-in-Residence in collaboration with FWM’s Studio team.

James Oliver Gallery: W.O.R.D. Group Art Exhibition 
Through March 29 | A culmination of visual language, W.O.R.D. serves to archive and spotlight artists invested in supporting their local community.  Calling Philadelphia home, these artists have been creating work and engaging with the local arts community for over 20 years through imaginative expression, public art installations, visual arts programming, and more.

  • Beethoven’s “Eroica” | March 7-9 | The illustrious Michael Tilson Thomas conducts his own Agnegram, Ravel’s jazzy Piano Concerto for the Left Hand featuring Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and concludes with Beethoven’s mighty “Eroica” Symphony, celebrating the heroic spirit in us all.    
  • Carnival of the Animals | March 15 | 11:30 a.m. | Camille Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals is an enchanting musical expedition through the animal kingdom. This delightful piece has become one of Saint-Saëns’s most famous, with each movement depicting a different animal, from the royal lion to the graceful swan. 

  • Orchestra After 5, Brass and Brash | March 27 | 6:30 p.m. | Pre-concert fun with signature cocktails, a scavenger hunt and photo booth, followed by Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5
