FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA (May 19, 2022): This summer, PNC Bank will once again support local artists by underwriting CCD’s arts and culture programming in Dilworth Park, including Live @ Lunch presented by PNC beginning Wednesday June 1, and continuing every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon through July 28. These small outdoor concerts at lunchtime, featuring a full lineup of musicians representing Philadelphia’s eclectic music scene, will take place from noon-1 p.m. Attendance will be free for all.
Workers who have returned to the office will have the opportunity to enjoy an al fresco lunchbreak on the PNC Terrace, where shaded umbrellas and a view of the fountain make it the perfect place to relax with friends. Before the show, everyone is encouraged to grab a bite from the Dilworth Park Café or Air Grille Garden, or bring takeout from a nearby Center City eatery.
In partnership with Rec Philly, these Live @ Lunch presented by PNC performances will feature musicians selected as part of the Black Music City initiative. The program recognizes and honors the influence of Philadelphia’s Black music history with hopes of inspiring today’s young artists.

The multi-year program recognizes the arts in local communities by assisting in expanding audience engagement and participation. It is their belief that “when art thrives, everybody benefits.”
“Summer is fast approaching and an ideal time to participate in the arts as we celebrate the diversity of our community and return of outdoor activities. There are few better ways to do that than through the Live @ Lunch presented by PNC performances at Dilworth Park. This is the perfect location to welcome the return of warmer weather, while also supporting the city’s local artists and businesses. My PNC colleagues and I look forward to enjoying the season’s performances at Dilworth Park and all that Center City has to offer,” said Joe Meterchick, PNC Bank regional president for Philadelphia, Delaware and Southern New Jersey.
