Dilworth Park completes its seasonal transformation with the return of these classic traditions!

PHILADELPHIA (November 16, 2021): Center City District is bringing back the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market on Saturday, November 20 and the Deck the Hall Light Show on Monday, November 22, completing the seasonal transformation of Dilworth Park that began with the November opening of the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, Cabin and the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank.

More than 40 local vendors will participate in this year’s market, with 35% being minority-owned businesses and 70% women-owned. Shoppers can find something for everyone on their list with the variety of goods, including handcrafted jewelry, artwork, home décor and delicious snacks. Local Victory Brewing Company Hop Hazer and Troegs can also be found while exploring this unique outdoor marketplace.

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market is providing 80 seasonal jobs this winter, part of the 169 temporary jobs that are being created in the park by the ice rink, cabin and other attractions. Hours of operation are Sundays-Thursdays 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. through January 1, 2022. Find special holiday hours and the full list of merchants at madeinphila.org.

Deck the Hall Light Show, produced with support from the Center City District and 6abc, is one of Philadelphia’s most unique holiday attractions. Its colorful projections will illuminate the west façade of City Hall, helping to highlight and animate the building’s historic architecture and sculptures. Whether strolling through the park, ice skating with family or enjoying a Chaddsford Winery mulled cider in the Wintergarden, everyone can watch the show at their leisure as it plays on a non-stop loop throughout the evening.

The Deck the Hall Light Show will operate daily through January 1, 2022, Sundays-Thursdays from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. The display was created by Philadelphia-based art and design studio Klip Collective.

“Every year, we look forward to this amazing light and sound experience," says President & General Manager of 6abc, Bernie Prazenica.  "There is so much to see and do in Dilworth Park, and you can do it safely. We are delighted to bring this new holiday tradition to Center City residents and visitors."

Select winter experiences at Dilworth Park will continue into 2022 with the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin staying open through February 27 and the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank until April 3. Weekly events, such as Cocktails and Cold Ones and College Nights, continue through the end of February. Find more information about these and other winter offerings at dilworthpark.org/winter.
