Shekhinah B. is a creative hybrid and versatile professional. She's an internationally experienced vocal performer, a dedicated advocate for the arts, a skilled cultural producer, a thoughtful conversational curator, and the author of The Art Economic Empowerment Workbook & Take Charge.
She is a dynamic recording artist and songwriter with over 20 years of diverse musical experience. A celebrated cultural producer, she has received multiple historical citation awards from the City Council of Philadelphia for her work on the Art Economic Empowerment Initiative and the successful execution of the Juneteenth Wine & Arts Festival. She has also been recognized with various grants and awards, including the Black Music City Award and the Encore Music Award. Her vocal talents span multiple genres, including Jazz, Soul, Blues, Pop, Funk, House, and R&B. In 2022, she performed with a 50-piece public orchestra, featuring original compositions from notable artists.
Shekhinah B. is the Executive Director and Founder of The Women’s Coalition for Empowerment, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Her dedication lies in the education, unification, and empowerment of creatives, achieved through a range of initiatives that foster creative expression, self-sufficiency, multiculturalism, self-esteem, and collective growth.
